MAY FIRST SUNDAY LOCATION CHANGE

Post by Chuck » Thu May 04, 2006 2:24 pm

OTTER CREEK CAFE IS CLOSED -- boarded up and not likely to open any time soon. So, how about breakfast at Lynn's on West Main Street in Waynesboro.

Eat at 9:00 AM
Ride at 10:00 AM

We'll be there! Good thing my sister checked the website... otherwwise we'd have been down the Parkway tomorrow morning wondering where we were going to eat...

Let's see... Phil, Bill, Troy, Duner, NewK12Guy (name escapes me, ARRGH!), Meredith, JD, and I... eight I guess. I don't know that anyone went on a specific ride afterwards. Meredith and I just moseyed home and then I did a bit of dirt riding with the neighbors. Our 'old bikes' had a good day out; in fact the R51 is getting some use lately since I did a 100-mile ride last week.

Too bad about the last-minute changes. I guess we'd have had a few more people if we'd realized earlier that Otter Creek was closed.

That new K12 guy's name is John, I think. He's been called much worse, though! Great breakfast - good to meet some new (to me) folks.

Glad y'all got together. We had a damp ride back from Georgia. Harvey split off early to make a one-day trip home. Butch and I planned to stop over somewhere to camp, but the dampness persisted and Butch hit a motel. I hit the interstate and got home Sunday, a little damp, but between the AeroStich and a rain suit over it I was supprisingly dry for an all-day rain ride.

I stopped by Otter Creek Restaurant this morning and they are unboarded and posted to open 8 AM May 26.
