Rolling Rally between MOA and RA rallies

We're trying to set up a rolling rally from Johnson City to Canaan Valley, and one overnight would be near Charlottesville. Does anyone have suggestions for a good overnight place (could be 20 to 50 people) with camping, motels and a suitable restaurant or two? The idea is that people can actually gather at the end of each day, so just naming a town isn't really good enough.

The rough idea so far is:

Day 1: MOA rally to somewhere south of Charlottesville via BRP or roads west of I-81
Day 2: to Salisbury, MD via southside VA and bridge-tunnel
Day 3: to Bob's BMW via eastern Shore scenery
Day 4: to Canaan Valley via back roads

The first overnight is the one we don't have a decent plan for.

Willville could accommodate 50 with a motel nearby and has some good roads to southside Virginia, like VA 40 from Woolwine to Ferrum. You could stay on VA 40 most of the way to Tidwater without hitting major metropolitan areas. If you need to get farther east, there are several State Parks along the way -- Fairystone SP near Marinsville (and Ferrum), Staunton River SP near Clarksville, etc.

Make sure to take SR 600 up the penninsula to Accomac (first right after the Bridge-Tunnel). US 13 isn't much fun.

The only real problem is that Willville isn't that far from Gray. So the first day would have to be a big loop, which makes for good riding but is a bit strange as far as actually traveling goes.

But Meadows of Dan is a nice enough stop, with at least one restaurant IIRC.
