New Member Introduction

Post by SLBateman » Thu Mar 27, 2008 1:58 pm

Hello all,

New to the group and just wanted to introduce myself.
I'm Sam Bateman and I live in Arvonia which is in Buckingham County.
Been riding for ~30 years mostly on Honda's but recently on a 1990 K75RT.
Yup, I'm the guy that bought the KRT that used to belong to Ted Glass.
Hope to catch-up with some of you guys up on the Parkway in the near future.

Welcome Sam. If you are a MOA or RA member, PM me with your membership number. That info is useful for our charter with the national clubs. If not, check out their membership benefits at:

Hey Sam,

I don't know you but that was one nice K75RT if I remember correctly! :)

Maybe see y'all at breakfast this Sunday. Not sure yet.

Chuck, your note reminded me that I probably never sent you my BMWMOA number: 58066. Recently joined the RA and received my first copy of OTL, but no RA membership number yet(???) Anyway, I'll pass that along too, when I receive it.

Hope to see you all in C'ville on Sunday, the 6th.

P.S. - So, who all is planning to hit the RA rally in "Da U.P." on 19-22 June?

Thanks, Mike. Your RA membership number is on the OTL mailing label to the left of the expiration date. Should be five digits.

I'll miss RA in da UP. It conflicts with Camp Night in Blue Grass, a can't miss rally that I signed up for in January. If you're not going to the RA rally, you should check out Camp Night.

Ahh, OK... In that case, it looks like I'm # 32040 for the RA. Thanks!

Yeah, Blue Grass Camp Night looks like a lot of fun--and a worthy cause to boot. Anyone interested should check out the web site at www.bluegrassbookbank.org . I've been wanting to make it over there for the past few years. Definitely a good back up plan if my trip to the RA rally falls through for some reason.
