Wow, great ride after breakfast!! I thought Al and Harvey were going to tag along for a bit but I didn't see them as we went up 231. We kept going past Madison, past Banco, then doubled back to Criglersville on Poorhouse road, crossed the river and found our way through the wilderness to 230. Then down to Crozet for an hour more socializing before we went our respective ways.

Rain going home from Crozet, but basically nothing before that. Traffic-wise it was a really good day, although we really stuck to the roads less traveled.

Time to start thinking about next month. The first Sunday will be the sixth of January, so it's well post-holidays. Farmville, Zion Crossroads, Stony Creek, or somewhere here in C-ville? How about that new restaurant in Madison? Start a new thread with your idea.

Great ride today guys! Excellent company, pleasant conversation, tasty food, and good service at the Inwood followed by a delightful ride despite threatening skys. Doesn't get much better. :D

Anton, you sure do know how to find the best roads around, dude. Really enjoyed the route you picked...even if you did seem to be trying to confirm whether a K1 can survive in "GS mode" when piloted by a ham-fisted rider like me. You know, I think the low-water crossing was actually the easiest part of that segment for the K-bike.

Hope y'all didn't get too wet riding home. Started raining pretty good about the time we hit C'ville. Thank god for gore-tex, eh?

Cheers,

Mike Sweger

I'd be up for that (Madison) or Farmville since I've not ridden down that way in a LONG time and never stopped there to eat. Then again, I'll make every effort to be there no matter where we go. It's more about the company and the ride than any specific destination.

Cheers,

Sounds like you all had a good ride.
I took the back way home to Louisa through Orange.
If I'm gonna try to keep up with you all (at least in the cold) I am gonna have to invest in some electrical duds. Def gonna have to get something to keep my throat warm.

Hope to see you next month! (Madison ?)
