Hello,

I hope to meet you guys during the next ride. I have been riding since February. I used to ride in college, 5 years ago, and have been fortunate enough to be able to start riding again. I have a used 1998 1100 GS which has been a dream to ride on. Have been looking for a group to ride with after going solo for so long. Nice website and forum page.

Meredith has the same bike (she's the one in the photo at the top of the page) and will probably be getting blown off the road tomorrow on her way back from Montgomery AL. The Oilhead GS is just an incredibly fun and capable bike. Good choice!

I don't know if you're new to the club scene, but BMWBMW's monthly meeting is this Sunday up at Lap's. Lap is a longtime Airhead mechanic in Alexandria. We're probably going to buzz up on Sunday morning. Not sure about a route; maybe go up 20 then cut over to Kelly's Ford and then over to I-95 along the edge of Quantico?

Anyone else going to the meeting? Steve?
