Mounting new tires

Post by a » Wed Jun 07, 2006 6:52 am

Noob question here:

Is there anything 'special' I should know about mounting beemer tires? I.e. can any bike shop do it once I deliver wheels to them? I don't even know if state of art (locally) is spin balance or if it's still done with bubble level?

Is there any concensus as to best place to deal with airhead wheels in the H'burg-Cville area?

Anton, I saw your post re sportbike shop in Cville, but could not find it for some reason?

thanks

Early's (Yamaha) on VA 42 south, H'burg has mounted tires on wheels I took to them -- R100S spoked and R1150GS spoked. They computer/spin balance wheels. Anton also mounts tires, if you can catch him.

Thanks Chuck. I thought you'd mentioned Early's last weekend but could not remember for certain. It's also probably easier for me than Cville so I'll likely give them a try.

That sportbike place here in town moved. I forget where, but they are no longer at the place next to Martin's.
