Motorcycle collision Saturday 11/5

Dan mentioned at breakfast that there'd been a collision just south of Stony Point. I stopped at the scene and saw the aftermath. Bits of Hayabusa and car, cut-off remnants of jeans and a fleece pullover, a running shoe and some oxygen mask stuff. Rider crossed the line in a right-hander, locked up one wheel and got creamed by an oncoming car.
Just talked to a guy putting in a new power line in back of my house, and it seems that the rider's newly-pregnant wife or girlfriend works for this guy's wife. Either that, or there were two nearly identical wrecks on the same evening. The rider barely survived the accident, was put into a coma in the hospital and wasn't expected to survive.
