I miss you guys! Would love to get together for breakfast but I know we're going to be at the New Year's 5k race. Possibly some of y'all have NYD activities also.

Should we plan on meeting on the 8th instead? Locations... hmm...

Stoney Creek
Do any of the breweries (Blue Mtn, Devil's, etc.) serve breakfast?

Or... this is new... how about brunch at Fardowner's in Crozet at 10:00? Is that too late?

I was just getting ready to post brunch at Stoney Creek, they are going to open today after being closed for a few days.I think most people would rather do the 8th. The brew pubs don't do breakfast, brunch? check web site. I will be out of town on he 8th but will be here for the Feb brunch. Happy New Year Butch

Sorry I'm WAY late in replying here. Dick Stewart and I had made a tentative plan to go with Fardowner's in Crozet. Let's go with that this time. 10:00.

I've only seen replies so far from Duner and Troy, but I'll look again. If I can find your phone numbers I'll call you. Feel free to give me a ring at 409-3767.

Dick and I met at my house and rode out to Crozet for breakfast at Fardowner's. I had a Belgian waffle with bacon, he had something more comprehensive I think. Good coffee. More expensive than diners but not bad; under $30 for both including a Bloody Mary IIRC.

There was a lot of Crozet railroad and tunnel memorabilia - especially photographs - in the restaurant, so we got inspired to head out and find one of the old tunnel entrances. Which we did. Then we cruised on over towards the other to scope out the approach, but the actual walk will wait for another day.

Then we cruised back down to 151 and dropped in at Blue Mountain Brewery (this was several hours after breakfast, now!) before heading back through Greenwood and Crozet and then home.

The weather was really perfect.
