I posted this before but it's just gone. Must have hit the wrong button.
Especially if people are trying to go to Morton's on the Saturday and Willville isn't working out, I'd like to suggest that we head over to Helvetia on Sunday for lunch. Largely, the reason is that I feel we (at least I) never really acknowledged Chuck's death and the Helvetia run was one of the rides he really liked. Plus I haven't been there for their Sunday lunch and this is probably going to be one of the last nice months for this sort of ride.
Helvetia is a few hours away. The straight shot from C-ville is 150 miles, straight out 250 and then a back road from Huttonsville. An even nicer route is to drop down past Cass to Snowshoe, go up 219 to Valley Head, west on 15 to Webster Springs and then get to Helvetia that way. Or you can come home that way after taking 33 out and dropping down 219 at Elkins.
We're looking at the Hutte restaurant: http://www.helvetiawv.com/
Alternatively we could go out there for Helvetia Day which is on Saturday the 24th.
Feedback? This Sunday or Saturday the 24th?

Sounds like a great idea, Anton, although I cannot ride this Sunday. I think you meant to say Saturday, Oct 23 for the alternate date. That weekend could work for me. Last time I went there for Sunday brunch the place was full; I don't know about their Saturday menu. Hutte Restaurant: 304-924-6435.

I think it would be cool to ride out there for Helvetia Day on Saturday, the 23rd. Well, it will almost certainly be cool over there by then... but hopefully not too COLD on the 23rd.

That's the plan, then. Tomorrow doesn't seem to work for anyone (it's not that great for me either) so maybe I'll show up at Mrs. Rowe's but most likely I'll stay home working on my honey-do list and we'll plan to meet up in another three weeks for a ride to Helvetia.

I'm in.
Would anyone be able to bring some Blue Ridge Beemer stickers ...
Friday (10/22) lunch time update ... no indication of any organization regaring this trip. Does that mean it is not going to happen? If this doesn't work, I will most likely ride up to Morton's.
