I figured we'd be meeting at Mrs. Rowe's in Staunton at 9:00 for breakfast. Then ride over to Helvetia for lunch.

How'd it go?

My yesterday customer didn't get off the lift until about 11:00 this morning, so my 'pick up today' customer's bike didn't get done until about 3 in the afternoon. I was hoping to have that one ready by this morning and at least meet y'all for lunch.

Maybe we need to have a THIRD Sunday ride...

Anton we missed you. We kept looking for you and half expected to see you at the Hutte. By all means let's have a THIRD Sunday ride, weather permitting of course!

A group assembled at Mrs. Rowe's for breakfast at 9:00am. Not everyone could go on the ride but those who did were John- 03 K1200RS, MT Sweger-04 K1200GT (though he was on an F800ST today) Joe-76 or 77 R75/6, Bob-04 R1150GS, Mary-04 R1150R. By the time we arrived in Helvetia, everyone was still full from breakfast so we'll definitely go back another day when everyone has their appetites. Sundays at the Hutte Restaurant is buffet. We talked to some people who ate there and suggested we call ahead for reservations.

I read the frequently asked questions to see if there's a place to post photos. I took a few today and wanted to include them. ?

Forgot to mention that today couldn't have been more perfect given the weather, the roads and the joy of companionship with other riders. A good time was had by all!

Indeed, a most excellent ride with awesome weather! In fact, I cannot imagine more perfect weather for a ride over to West Virginia. In November, no less! 8)

Thanks for the wrap-up, Mary. It was very nice to meet you, Bob, and Randy. Hope to ride with y'all again soon. As for the pics, your best bet might be to upload them to one of the many photo sharing sites (flickr.com, photobucket, KodakGallery, etc.) and post the link here.

Can't wait to get back over to Helvetia and try that buffet at The Hutte. For posterity sake, the phone number for reservations is 304-924-6435 according to the business card that was handed to me.

Hey, if y'all are serious about a 3rd Sunday ride, we could always head east and hook up with the Richmond BMW Riders (http://www.rbmwr.com). I think they still meet every 3rd Sunday at Babe's of Carytown.

Do the Richmond BMW riders meet at 9:00am at Babe's? They give a time span from 9-3 for when brunch is served but don't say specifically when they meet.

Yeah, some deeper web-digging is necessary. :P

The calendar on the RBMWR web site (http://www.rbmwr.com/modules.php?name=Calendar) says 9:00-11:00 tomorrow for their monthly meeting. A further click on the actual calendar item confirms the meeting location: "Babe's in Carytown." That's 3166 West Cary Street (corner of Cary and S Auburn) in Richmond [Google Map - http://tinyurl.com/ya5xwm6].

Cyndi and I plan to ride down to Williamsburg tomorrow, so maybe we'll swing by Babe's since it's on the way. However, it will likely be some time after 9:30 when we arrive. It's always a challenge to try getting my wife out of the house before 8:00a.m. on the weekend.
