November First Sunday

Post by Chuck » Mon Oct 27, 2008 11:30 am

Lynn's in Waynesboro is rumored to be open again. Let's give them a try Sunday, November 2.

Eat at 9:00 AM
Ride at ~10:00 AM

Lynn's is located on W. Main St (US 250 just west of Hopeman Parkway) in Waynesboro. Anybody have a ride route suggestion?

Also this weekend is the seasonal closing get together at Willville with a stew pot Saturday night.

Is that the Lynn's with the plate-sized pancakes? I plan to bring an appetite and my close friend, Ms. Gerbings. She's really hot! As for a ride, I'm game for a long one.

I'm planning a ride up to Pennsylvania on Saturday, but will try to make it back down this way for the 1st Sunday ride. Something tells me the Gerbings will get a decent workout this weekend. Nothing like a little pre-winter stress test of the battery and charging system. :)

Hope to see y'all there...

Sounds good, Bob. Should be a good turnout.

How about a ride down VA 252, west through Goshen Pass and north through Bullpasture River Gorge (SR 678). We could figure out which way to turn on US 250 at McDowell.

We decided to just be lazy. We had a good day working outside the house, really some enjoyable stuff, but at the same time I do regret missing out on the reincarnated Lynne's. How was it?

Sorry to read about the EWS issue on the GS (saw it over on the MOA forum). I'll bring a spare to breakfasts from now on...

The veteran waitress was still at Lynn's, but service was pretty leisurely. There was a buffet that we were warned to avoid, but we tried it anyway after it was replenished. Lot's of meat on the buffet that I didn't try, so maybe somebody else can comment on that. Basic breakfast in my opinion -- nothing to go out of the way for, but it seems to be the only game in town. Still had the big pancakes.

The ride following breakfast was pleasant, though. We took the scenic route with light traffic through Middlebrook and Brownsburg to VA 39, VA 39 west through Goshen Pass to SR 678 and north through the Bullpasture Gorge to McDowell. We split in several directions from there with a few of us heading through Sugar Grove and over Reddish Knob on DUSTY WV 25.

Great ride. Perfect weather. Those R-bikes can really fly.
