From Marlington, WV, go north on 219 and enjoy the twisties north of the Edray Citgo station. Near the top of the mountain, go west on 150 to the bridge over the Williams River. Go south on Public Road 76/Williams Road; this turns into Woodrow Road which has some very nice sections. Woodrow Rd ends at the Citgo station in Edray. From there, go north on 219 and enjoy the twisties over the mountain (again). This can take you to Snowshoe, Cass, Greenbank, etc.

Sunday ride
Should've ridden with you guys on Sun. instead of the 24 bikes I ended up with! After seeing you guys at a gas station "somewhere" we headed up to Senaca Rocks for lunch. Backtracked after lunch home to Charlottesville. Never have ridden with such a large group....doubtful I will again.

I had a great trip to Pipestem State Park last weekend. The occasion was the WV Guzzi owners club rally. I figured they would appreciate the R90S, so I rode that, and I was right. Nice group of guys. Saturday was spent exploring the area around Fayetteville and the New River Gorge. A great riding weekend.
There were seven of us at the former Lynn's, now Expresso Pancake and Itailian Restaurant (really!). Still a good breakfast menu with a slight price increase. We all headed out for the mountains, but lost Cliff leaving town. Dimitri back-tracked looking for him, but didn't find him.
We took a northwest route across the valley, through Spring Hill, Mount Solon, Sangerville, Spring Creek, Clover Hill, etc to US 33 West over the mountain to Brandywine where we ran across Larry's group. From there we headed southwest through Sugar Grove and Moyers Gap to Snowy Mountain Road and the back way into Blue Grass by Brian's farm and site of the annual Camp Night at Blue Grass. From there, south through Blue Grass Valley to Hightown and US 250 E over Monterey Mountain and into Monterey for a rest stop at the corner BP station. From there we continued east to McDowell and took Rte 678 south through the Bullpasture River Gorge to VA 39/42 and on to Goshen. By then we were down to three riders. Dimitri headed east and Butch and I headed north. There sure were a lot of motorcycles out there.
How about breakfast at the Mexican/Thai place in Nellyford next month?

Does anyone have any information on Cliff and what happened to him on Sunday leaving town ? This was his first group ride and perhaps he thought we should have all stoped when he got held up at the intersection. I would like to see Dimitri and Cliff in future events. I fear we may have left an inaccurate impression.
And you might ask yourself, "where does that highway go?"

Cliff beat it after us on VA 254 after getting through the slow light at Waynesboro and stayed on VA 254 where it turned left into Staunton. We kept straight at that point where VA 254 became VA 262 and bypasses Staunton. He eventually got on US 250 west to Monterey. So we just missed him -- a couple times. He says he had a good ride and will meet us again in spite of our rudeness.
