RA Rally 2007

Post by Chuck » Fri Dec 22, 2006 4:37 pm

This is what you all have been waiting for. The where, why and when. The RA, as you may have been watching, has been choosing their International Rally sites very carefully for the past several years and this venue is no exception. RA members have been enjoyed quality riding locations, top-notch tech seminars, unique knowledgeable guest speakers, friendly home-style hospitality, exceptional rally activities and the sense of belonging to the BMW family at their intimate sized events. This year the RA will be celebrating its 35th International Rally and I am proud to announce we will be doing it up right from June 7-10, 2007 on the grounds of the Biltmore Estate, in Ashville, North Carolina. There has never been an event of this kind on this pristine estate. Once again the RA breaks new ground and brings this once in a lifetime BMW experience to you.

Only a mile and a half from the Blue Ridge Parkway, one of the countries best motorcycling roads, and only blocks away from all the amenities of one of North Carolinas most gracious communities, Ashville. There is something for everyone both on the Biltmore grounds and just outside the gates of the estate as well.

So, Club Newsletter Editors and Presidents, there you have it. And there is more preliminary information that has just been posted currently on our web site. Feel free to publish any or all of it to your members and mark it on your rally calendars. This is an event not to miss.

BMW Riders Association and the OTL Editors.

Ride with the RA,

Bob Wood
President

BTW, preregistration is up and running. I would really take the opportunity to preregister for this one; something tells me the rally could actually fill up. Maybe just wishful thinking, but who knows.

Anyway, go to the main rally page (see above post) and at the top of the right-side column is a link for preregistration.

Oh, and you save $5 or so.

This explains the unusual attire of the bicyclists I passed on the way to lunch in Asheville Saturday:

That explains why you remained in Asheville on Saturday while the rest of us headed home!
