MOTO-ST race on Speed Channel Sunday

Post by AntonLargiader » Sat Dec 16, 2006 7:35 pm

The MOTO-ST race, which was won by a BMW for which I was part of the crew, will be on Speed Channel tomorrow from 3 to 4 PM. Here's BMW's propaganda about it:

BMW Motorcycles on Speed Channel for MOTO-ST endurance race.

This weekend, BMW Motorcycle fans and riders have the opportunity to
witness history in the making.

How? By tuning into the broadcast of the inaugural SunTrust Moto-ST Eight Hours at Daytona on the Speed Channel from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time this Sunday, December 17th. This high-adrenaline program will showcase the historic victory achieved by the San Jose BMW Motorcycles team as they brought home the checkered flag. Not since Steve McLaughlin won the very first AMA Superbike race back in 1976 on an R 90 S had a BMW Motorcycles team won at Daytona. You may have already known about this stunning win, but now you can see all the drama, all the passion, and all the white-hot action unfold before your eyes this Sunday on Speed Channel.

If you love racing, and you love BMW Motorcycles, this is an opportunity not to be missed. So this Sunday, December, 17th tune in for the inaugural SunTrust Moto-ST Eight Hours at Daytona on the Speed Channel from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

Should you detect the smell of race fuel and smoldering rubber in your living room, don't be surprised, because this race was intense from the first lap to the last!

That's not all - Brian Parriott and Nate Kern will be at the San Mateo IMS Show this weekend (December 15-17) to sign autographs and show outtakes and 'behind-the-scenes' video from the Moto-ST race.

3 riders, 1 historic victory.

You'll see riders Brian Parriott, Nate Kern, and Stephane Mertens battle it out against the M4 EMGO Suzuki team aboard their stock #46 BMW R 1200 S. The Suzuki team had over twenty-five years of endurance racing experience and the fight between them and the BMW team on Daytona's legendary high-banked turns was totally intense.

You'll also see the team from BMW Motorcycles of Daytona competing, as well as riders from Touring Sport BMW who fielded a team as well.

Don't miss these BMW teams lappin' it up!
R1100RS, R100R, K75RT, R100PD, R100GS, XR400R, R75/5x2, Jetta TDI
