October First Sunday Breakfast and Ride

We'll meet Sunday, October 1 at Lynn's Pancake and Steak House at 2120 West Main Street (US 250 West) in Waynesboro. Plan on a ride route to the western mountains.
Eat at 9:00 AM

Four of us from the seven at breakfast took a scenic ride across the valley, into West Virginia on US 33, south from Bandywine to Sugar Grove, through Moyer's Gap and up to US 220. From US 220 we headed west on Snowy Mountain Road, south on Wilmer Mountain Road (new sign) and back into Virginia just north of Cress Farm (home of Camp Night at Blue Grass) and into Blue Grass community. Then south through Blue Grass Valley to US 250 and east over Monterey Mountain to the BP (formerly Texaco) station for a break in Monterey. We were split up by traffic heading east on US 250, but that was the only significant traffic we encountered for the day.
If you are looking for fall color, Highland County is well into the early stages NOW.
