Breakfast Spots

Time to decide on a spot for December First Sunday. I'm leaning toward The Innwood (time to head east of the Blue Ridge), but most anywhere is fine with me.

Also, is there any interest in reinstating the BRB Boxing Day ride?

It's a British thing. Boxing Day is the day after Christmas. The BRBs of 15 years ago or so had a ride on Boxing Day (weather permitting).

Gillie's sounds interesting, but it would be a long ride to breakfast for most of us. How about Boxing Day (Sunday Dec. 26) at the Tavern with a 10:00 AM meet-to-eat time. We'll need to check that they don't go on vacation while school is out.

March Breakfast

Time to pick a breakfast spot for March First Sunday. Here's a compilation of the suggestions so far:
Country Inn, Elkton (buffet)
Cuzz's, Elkton
Lynn's, Waynesboro
Inwood, Gordonsville
The Tavern, C'ville
Crescent Inn, Zion Crossroads
Blue Ridge Cafe (brunch)
Gillie's, Blacksburg
Blue Moon Cafe, C'ville
Tip Top, C'ville (Pantops)
Cracker Barrell, Waynesboro (and elsewhere!)
Jeff Ward's ham biscuits on the road.

Other places we've hit in the past:
Whistle Stop Cafe, Fairfield
Mossy Creek 2, Nellysford
Afton Inn
Kathy's, Verona
Mrs. Rowe's, Staunton.

Somebody pick one.

So many restaurants and so little time :!:

Do the folks in the valley want us to come their way?

We can start from the valley later in Spring and head for Highland and Bath Counties and WV. The roads west of McDowell were pretty nasty when I was there a couple weeks ago -- salt-encrusted, gritty, and scattered snow patches on some. That's likely to still be true in early March. I vote for a Piedmont ride.

The Cresecent Inn sounds good to me. Maybe we'll get a few easterners. Butch will be out of town (off the continent, actually) and the distance from Lexington probably isn't much different to Zion Crossroads than to Gordonsville.

I think Cuzz's reopened. I'll check for future breakfast options.
