Relay for Life of Buckingham

From the BRB e-mail: Hi, I am organizing a motorcycle run in Cumberland Va to benefit the relay for life of Buckingham. All of the money raised will benefit the american cancer society. After the run we will have a "family event" that all are welcome to and will feature music, food, and more. The c...

Re: Our Chartered Club Info - Time to Update?

I haven't had much success updating the info with MOA. I called the MOA national office recently and the membership coordinator there wants to wait for the renewal to make the update. I'm not sure how well that will work since I've given them updated information the last two recharter events, in add...

Re: Easter on the Blue Ridge, 12 April 2009

I think it was Ross and Jean Copas from Ontario that organized Easter on the Blue Ridge with Steve Coburn. The Copas retired and quit coming down, but a group from the BMW MC Club Ontario came for a couple years. I contacted Mike Southwood from BMW MCO for the last few years and they find Easter a l...

Re: Rolling Rally between MOA and RA rallies

Willville could accommodate 50 with a motel nearby and has some good roads to southside Virginia, like VA 40 from Woolwine to Ferrum. You could stay on VA 40 most of the way to Tidwater without hitting major metropolitan areas. If you need to get farther east, there are several State Parks along the...

Sounds good to me -- I'll plan to be t here. Will there be restaurant space competition on Easter? Any comments from the Lexington locals?

April First Sunday

Let's give the Skyline Restaurant at Ruckersville another try Sunday, April 4.

Eat at 9:00 AM
Ride at ~10:00 AM

The restaurant is located on US 29 north bound approximately 0.5 mile south of US 33. Note the return to earlier start time!

Route suggestions? How about heading north for a change.

Re: Breakfast spots?

You were at Lynn's? We (BRBs) were at La Taza getting poor service, but good coffee. Plenty room for us on the terrace. We got our first cup of "bottomless" coffee, those who ordered a full breakfast got that, and those who ordered a muffin never got that even after a couple additional requests. Cof...

Re: Our Chartered Club Info - Time to Update?

We can give out @blueridgebeemers.org email addresses if there's a benefit. We could make the admin contact flow through that and then redirect to whatever address we want. Anyone who wants one just let me know. We can change the contact e-mail to admin@blueridgebeemers.org, at least. Becky the mem...

Re: Our Chartered Club Info - Time to Update?

I've given the MOA Chartered Club liasson the correct information with two recharterings and with e-mails each time they've put out the wrong info in the Annymous Book. I don't know what the problem is. I assume they know Steve Coburn is no longer associated with the club actively. At least the Blue...

March Second Sunday

OK, we'll try again. How about a lunch ride starting from La Taza in Belmont around 10:00 AM on Sunday, March 8 . Coffee, etc. available at La Taza with early arrival. Any thoughts on a destination? Farmville? Valley? http://www.latazacoffeehouse.com/ Don't forget that Daylight Savings Time begins S...

Re: March 1st Sunday

I was on the way by car, heading farther east after brunch. Things started icing up crossing Rockfish Gap, so I assumed no one else was going to show and kept heading down I-64. Maybe we can get in a Saturday Lunch ride later this month when roads clear. Keep an eye on EVENTS.
